The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Jobs and Economic Development Impacts of Offshore Wind" on Wednesday, November 20, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. More than a year ago, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) initiated work to expand the Jobs and Economic Development Impacts (JEDI) model to include fixed-bottom offshore wind technology. Following the model's completion (and in partnership with the Energy Department's Wind Program, Illinois State University, and James Madison University), NREL supported the analysis of the regional jobs and economic impacts of offshore wind for the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Gulf Coast regions. This webinar will provide an overview of the new offshore wind JEDI model and review the four completed assessments.
